The Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) complies with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which
gives all people an equal opportunity to benefit from OMV’s programs, services, and activities.
Accommodations
Individuals may request an accommodation if the individual meets the following criteria (as defined by ADA):
- The individual has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities.
- The individual has a history or record of such impairment.
- The individual is perceived by others as having such an impairment.

Mobility Devices
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The following mobility devices are allowed within an OMV Customer Services Center:
Wheelchairs
Walkers
Canes
Crutches
Braces
Segways or Scooters
Device must be able to maneuver within customer areas without harm to other individuals and must not exceed the speed of pedestrian traffic.
Note: Devices powered by fuel or combustion engine are not allowed indoors, due to health and environmental reason.

Service Animals
Service Animals must meet ADA Criteria:
A dog of any size or breed, that is trained to perform a task directly related to the person’s
disability.
Note: Service animals may be removed if the dog is not housebroken or is out of
control.
